Trust No One!

Without realising, we often have to learn life lessons the hard way. I just learnt the above that way.

Why is it when we think we can trust someone to confide in, the person stabs in the back? Why is it when we confide in someone and the person you confide in tells you that the story should remain between the two of you, somehow the story mysteriously comes back to you and the whole wide world seems to know the story too? Why do people betray trust so easily that your perceived opinions of them changed quickly? Why do people encourage you to say things and then use the information against you?

I am sure there are ppl who you can trust, but the key is judging who you can and cannot trust. Unfortunately, there are those who appear trustworthy (or are in a position where they are supposed to be trusted with confidential information) but are in fact the polar opposite.
This would be an appropriate time to say, "You've been Twingo'ed!"

BM, just take it as a lesson learned or reminder for the future. We've all been there before. The best thing to do is to learn from it.

Wellll (ala KdB)...another "WoWoWo" moment.

""Smelling isn't everything" said the Elephant. "Why," said the Bulldog, "if a fellow can't trust his nose, what is he to trust?" "Well, his brains perhaps," she replied mildly.”

Give it a thought (ala C-BenBurg)

Kakarrot & Jester,
Thanks for your messages. Really appreciated. Hard lesson, but still not something I expected.

Do you know the story??
