Solar Eclipse in Brunei

It was announced that Brunei will be experiencing a partial solar eclipse on 26 January 2009, from 4.00pm onwards. The maximum eclipse visible in Brunei will occur at about 5.54pm, at a magnitude of 84%. The eclipse will end when sun sets at 6.30pm. The Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalm will be organising a public viewing of the eclipse at the Yayasan Complex in Bandar from 4pm.

The next solar eclipse visible in Brunei Darussalam will take place on 22 July 2009, but it is expected to be of a lesser magnitude.
