On the top....

Manchester United won this weekend's Barclays Premier League game against Bolton Wanderers by a single late goal from Berbatov. In a match that Manchester United had difficulties to dominate and with the match seemed to be destined to be a draw, Berbatov headed a goal in the dying minutes of the match. Manchester United seemed to miss the presence of Wayne Rooney and his replacement, Carlos Tevez, did not seem to fit into his boots well. Carlos Tevez had quite a frustrating game; misfiring on some occasions and seemed to lose the ball quite a lot. He was about to be substituted when he managed to wiggle free from two Bolton Wanderers defenders and crossed the ball for Berbatov to head in the winning goal.

In other matches, Chelsea came from 1-0 down to score two goals, including one deep inside the injury time, to beat Stoke City and Aston Villa similarly score two goals, including one penalty from Garth Barry after trailing 1-0 tp Sunderland. Two struggling teams at the bottom three of the league table, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, won their respective games by similar goal line of 3-0.

With the matches completed, Manchester United now sits at the summit of the league table, one point more than Liverpool which will only play on Monday evening. Chelsea remains on third place and Aston Villa is forth. West Bromwich Albion moves off the foot of the table and Blackburn Rovers moves out of the relegation zone.

And oh, it was Manchester United's consecutive eleventh clean sheet in the Barclays Premier League. If I am not mistaken, it equals the current record held by Chelsea.
